OFFICIAL: Walker extends Iron stay

Midfielder Josh Walker has extended his loan spell with League One strugglers Scunthorpe United for a further month.

The 23 year-old midfielder joined Alan Knill's side on loan in January having seen a free transfer move to Lincolnshire fall through due to FIFA regulations.

Formerly of Middlesbrough, the England youth international has been way down the pecking order at Vicarage Road since arriving from Teesside in 2010 under Malky Mackay.

Walker's contract in WD18 expires at the end of the season and it seems highly unlikely the midfield enforcer, who is yet to make a league start for the club, will extend his deal.

Under the terms of his loan deal, Walker will remain at Glandford Park until April 14th.

Good luck Josh!

I think he will stay on loan until the end of the season... Then leave.....

Out of contract. No way back, bar some absolutely barnstorming performances for Scunny!
