'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dyche: 'Challenge is sustaining what we're doing'

Hornet's boss Sean Dyche was gushing with praise for his side after a tremendous 2-1 victory at Derby today - just their fourth away win of the campaign.

The Goldenboys took a 2-0 lead inside 15 minutes through in-form pair Sean Murray and Troy Deeney before Ben Davies pulled one back for the Rams.

Watford had the superb reactions of Tomasz Kuszczak to thank for preserving their three-point haul as the big Pole came to the rescue twice in the second period as Nigel Clough's side piled on the pressure late on.

Speaking afterwords to the Official Site, Dyche said:

'For me, this was all about our team mentality showing that it continues to grow and strengthen as each game passes this season.

'Of course, you have to add to that mix some moments of quality, and I think our two goals today - and some other very promising situations - showed that we are capable of delivering that at key times.'

Ever keen to look at the bigger picture, Dyche continued:

'We've so much still to learn and can improve in all areas to differing degrees, but this week has left us feeling very proud of our efforts.

'The challenge I will once again be reiterating to the players will be about sustaining what we're doing. That's a great challenge to have after today's performance.'

Watford will look to continue their impressive run of results at home to stragglers Coventry City next Saturday.
