OFFICIAL: Bond loaned to Daggers

Watford have loaned third-choice goalkeeper Jonathan Bond to League Two Dagenham and Redbridge on a months youth loan.

The Wales U21 international joins the Daggers as cover for regular number one, Chris Lewington, who was sent off on Saturday.

Bond will remain at Victoria Road until March 25.

Good luck Jonathan!

Having played for us, Brackley Town and Forest Green, how can he play for a fourth club, when rules dictate only two clubs in a year?

Youth loans. Allow a player under a certain age (possibly 21) to play for more clubs than normal.

Thank you for clearing that up, I'm sure this just confirms that the FA make the rules up as they go along...

The same rule has meant we had to sign Marcello Trotta on a youth loan, rather than a normal loan this week, as he played for Wycombe and a brief appearance for Fulham this season.

Indeed. It makes sense though as we can extend on a month-by-month basis rather than the regular one to three months.
