Chesham United Vs Watford Preview

Technical director Richard Bate takes the reserves to Luther Blissett`s Chesham United for a friendly fixture tonight.

~Chesham United Team News~

Despite having been relegated last season, only two players have left The Meadow this summer. Club Captain Nathan Bowden-Haase, who departed for a nominal fee to Yeading, and winger Chris Sullivan who returned to his original club following his loan spell.

Hornets` legend Luther Blissett has registered himself as a player for the forthcoming season.

~Likely Line-up~

Lawler
Chapman Chelmal Golding Harvey
Oatley Sarll Ridgeway Glasgow
Burnell Slade

Subs:

Brown (GK)
McCarthy (GK)
Abraham
Bacon
Callender
Charalambous
Bailey

~Key Player Profiles~

Alex Lawler - A slightly eccentric goalkeeper who has impressed since moving to The Meadow last season despite making many erratic misjudgements, Lawler is a very solid goalkeeper who does make up for his mishaps. Formerly an actor in Sky`s 'Dream Team`

MC Harvey - An athletic young left full back who can also play on the left hand side of midfield. The former AFC Wimbledon man possesses bags of pace and is a good communicator.

Darren Sarll - Powerful central midfielder who likes to get stuck in. Sarll`s never-say-die attitude and one hundred and ten percent commitment week in week out make him a favourite with the fans.

Byron Glasgow - Diminutive left winger who with MC Harvey forged an almost instant partnership down the left hand side last season. Byron has pace to burn, bags of tricks and is a good crosser of the ball.

David Burnell - Another Blisset signing made towards the end of last season. David Burnell sparked up an instant partnership with fellow striker Steve Slade. The pair almost kept the Generals up with their goals.

Steve Slade - A tall target man who is powerfully built. Much like Darius Henderson his physique suggests he may not possess much pace however, when required he can shift himself. Good in the air and likes a bit of rough-and-tumble.
