Bolton agree Sordell fee

Watford have agreed a fee for striker Marvin Sordell with Bolton Wanderers, according to Sky Sports News.

The Hornet's 10-goal top-scorer was withdrawn from Sean Dyche's matchday squad ahead of kick-off Millwall at the request of owner Laurence Bassini.

It has since emerged that Bolton Wanderers' offer, believed to be £4m, has been accepted by Bassini.

Sordell will discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before the 2300 deadline.

Confirmation as and when.

It's gonna be even harder now to stay up... I know we need money but I'm still sad to see MS go...

Usuall bollox, has any one at the club said that we need money? If the player wants to go, then any club who meets their valuation, they go... We will not be going down this season. Try putting a positive s feel in your comments, I know it's hard for you. It's hard for all when players leave and it's frustrating for us to when their are no sign of players coming in. Give the club some credit, they know who will leave and they know the places that need strengthening, but it depends on weather the player wants to come.

I think the rumoured £4m is a good price for a player with one and half seasons experience behind them. It has certainly made our job harder, but hopefully Garner and Deeney will continue to score goals. We do need another forward, but I would rather we waited for the loan window and did not rush, rather than clamouring to grab someone.

Agreed, it is a fact that you pay inflated prices for players in Jan, if weimann comes in on loan, that would be good. This season was always gonna be about stabilisation with what's happened at the club over the last few years and especially the departure of MM and the back room staff. For a rookie and all that he has faced, Dyche isn't doing a bad job at all.

Amen to that Andy. Most sensible comment on here in ages!

hmmm am I the only one on here that is yet unconvinced by Andy Weimann? He's a solid all round but has never filled me with excitement which is odd given how many goals he scores for Villa's reserves.
