No Sordell for the Hornets

Top-scorer Marvin Sordell misses tonight's trip to Millwall, failing to make the matchday squad altogether.

As a result, rumours are quickly circling that the former Fulham youngster will be moving on between now and 11pm.

Hornet's Player match commentator Jon Marks revealed on Twitter that the striker was withdrawn at the request of Laurence Bassini.

Putting two and two together, the 20 year-old striker is on his way with West Ham and Fulham believed to be in for the England U21 international.

There was official confirmation shortly after - @wfcbadgemoose #watfordfc owner Laurence Bassini has confirmed to the Moose that there has been significant enough interest in Sordell to force withdrawal.

As soon as we have any details, Vital Watford will let you know. @VitalWatford on Twitter for the latest!

If Marv goes, QPR seem to have a surplus of strikers after their deadline signings - what about HH or Tommy Smith on loan?

Where are the goals coming from if he goes tonight?? I'm gutted..

We need something permanent. However, I'd rather we signed someone on loan for the time being instead of getting the wrong man at the wrong price!

We haven't been a free scoring team for a while, he was always leaving, good luck to him, would rather keep Aidy but suspect that he will go too. Must say, Loachs performances of late have scuppered any possible moves. Would like to see Weimann back too
