Van Der Vaart: 'Watford deserved more'

Spurs match-winner Rafael Van Der Vaart was gracious in victory, admitting that Watford deserved more out of tonight's F.A Cup 4th round clash.

The former Real Madrid and Hamburg man got the game's only goal after 42 minutes, driving home from distance with the aid of a Scott Loach error.

Speaking to ESPN afterwords, the Tottenham No.11 said:

'I think Watford deserved more, maybe a win because they were the better team tonight.'

Van Der Vaart continued:

'Sometimes you have these types of days, the 100% sharpness isn't there and I think it was a difficult game, the pitch was heavy and they played a great game.'
