Redknapp to make Vicarage Road appearance

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has decided that he will make the trip to Vicarage Road for Friday night's F.A Cup tie.

The Spurs boss has been in court this week facing a charge of tax evasion. This will be the first game the North Londoners have played since the starting the trial.

Redknapp has been in contact with assistant Kevin Bond in a daily basis and has also said he will select the side to face Sean Dyche's side.

Bond and Redknapp normally drive into Spurs' training ground in Chigwell together but Redknapp has stayed in London for the duration of the trial, due to end next week.

Broadcasters ESPN will be on red-alert for the tie with Redknapp potentially subject to the wit of Hornet's supporters.

An ESPN spokesperson said to The Daily Mail:

'We are very mindful of our responsibilities as a broadcaster and to Ofcom`s rules, and will take all appropriate actions from a production standpoint.

'Live sport is unpredictable - and with that comes challenges - but we have an experienced team in place that knows how to handle live sports and events.'
