Watford confirm Sordell interest

There has been 'significant interest' in Hornet's forward Marvin Sordell, the club have this morning confirmed.

The Hornet's 20 year-old striker is the club's top-scorer this season with 10 league and cup strikes from 26 appearances this season.

Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City had been linked with the England U21 hitman, but it is believed that West Ham United have tabled a £2m offer for the former Tranmere Rovers loanee.

According to The Watford Observer, the club refused to comment on the player's future but did reveal there had been 'significant interest' in the forward.

You'd certainly hope we could get more than £2m for Sordell, especially when you consider the 'going rate' for a number of other Football League strikers in the this Transfer Window but we shall wait and see.

If anything does happen, Vital Watford will as ever, have it covered.

The thing is other teams know we are hard up & won't need to spend too much to get any of our players...

Hard up? Where has it stated that? Most teams are in trouble with their finances. This time of year clubs can command more money for their players. The right bid and any player is sold, we will be losing 2 to 3 players this month, the main players won't be going cheap though.
