'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Margate chief rubbishes Appiah rumours

Margate chief executive Cliff Egan has today confirmed that Watford are not looking at striker, Kwesi Appiah.

The 21 year-old forward already has a whopping 32 goals in 19 game for the Kent-based outfit this season.

Watford have been linked with the former Peterborough forward along with Aston Villa and Leeds United, but Egan says otherwise.

Speaking to This is Kent, Egan said:

'The Watford thing is completely off the radar, they're not even looking at him.

'It's wild speculation and rumour and you're going to get that.'

Egan did however leave the door open for a move at some point:

'We'd never stand in the way of a player who wanted to move on, especially at our level.

'As much as you don't want to lose him, you wouldn't want an unhappy player at the club.

'You'd have to bite the bullet and get the best deal for the club.'

Just as well we're not looking at him really, it's hardly worth our time when Villa and Leeds are rumoured to be interested too!
