Kightly loan set to end

Michael Kightly returned to parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers today having completed a highly-successful loan spell at Vicarage Road.

The 25 year-old former England U21 winger arrived on an initial one-month loan deal in WD18 in October.

However, an early injury setback looked to have robbed the Hornets of the former Spurs trainee`s talents before Sean Dyche managed to persuade Mick McCarthy to extend the deal for a further two months.

Packed with punch and panache, Kightly has quickly won a place in supporter`s hearts and his heart-felt and passionate celebration of the fourth goal in our 4-1 victor over Doncaster Rovers endeared him further.

The likelihood of Kightly returning to the Vic` is up for debate; he will be sought after by other clubs if he is to move out on loan once more and Wolves do have an abundance of wingers.

However this agreement was only ever meant to be to help Kightly re-gain his match fitness.

In total, Kightly made 10 starts and one substitute appearance as a Hornet, scoring twice.

Many thanks for everything Michael and good luck in the future!
