'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dyche: 'We lacked a little quality'

Watford boss Sean Dyche was pleased with a point at Blackpool but had constructive criticism for his side at the same time.

The 'Orns carved out a meagre number of openings over the course of the 90 minutes whilst hosts Blackpool hit the woodwork twice in the first half.

Speaking to the Official Site, Dyche said:

'I didn't feel we opened Blackpool up often enough - but I'm really pleased to be talking about a performance where we're coming away having learned a lot but without getting beaten.'

Dyche continued: 'You're not going to come here and Blackpool not have any chances, it's just not going to happen.'

The gaffer did however reserve some praise for his side's resilience against decent opposition:

'The players gave everything for the cause today, though, and that's why I'm feeling like we deserved something from the match.'

The Hornets will now face former manager Malky Mackay and his new employers, Cardiff City, in what is sure to be a tasty match at the Vic' on Boxing Day. You wont want to miss it!
