Dyche: 'It wasn't our best performance'
Sean Dyche was a happy man at full-time today, hailing his side's resilience at Portman Road.
The visitors started brightly before allowing Town into the game. It was only really in the second-half that Watford began to play again.
Dyche recognized the fact his side hadn't played to their potential, but was rightfully pleased with another three points.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Dyche said:
'Ipswich are on an unfortunate run and you don't want to be the ones they turn over, because that run will end.
'It wasn't always silky football from us and it wasn't our best performance, but the desire and work ethic of the players was fantastic.'
Dyche continued by praising his side's resolve:
'But we rallied and regrouped at half-time and came out with a bit more resolve, without being fantastic.'
Watford host Leeds United next Saturday and for the second home game in a row, the opposition have come into form just as they face Dyche's side.
