Dyche: 'A deserved point'

Hornet's supremo Sean Dyche said he felt his side deserved a point after their goalless draw at the Keepmoat Stadium this afternoon.

Speaking to The Watford Observer, Dyche said:

"We had solid shape, good organisation and good endeavour but we lacked that bit of quality. We worked hard for the point.' Said Dyche

"We are still developing and improving so it will be difficult to be brilliant every week. We have delivered some really good performances though.

"We come away reasonably positive. The back five were really good and that was important as it is important to set our stall out in terms of the basics and fundamentals."

Dyche was also keen to refute claims that his side were prepared to shut up shop in the second half and defend for a point. He responded by saying that it was not his intention.
