Bassini-Taylor rift over

Following the farce that was last week's rift between Graham Taylor and Laurence Bassini, the club has this afternoon announced that the pair have put it behind them.

A short statement on the official website confirmed the news after a quiet few days which were in stark contrast to last week's chaos.

The club have also confirmed the make-up of the decision-making process at the club.

A new 'executive board' has been comprised of the heads of the four main pillars of the club - community, football, commercial and operations.

The heads of each department Rob Smith, Ross Wilson, Raj Athwal and Glyn Evans respectively.

This new board will be overseen by a Watford FC Board member at 'regular meetings'. This new set-up was presumably created in conjunction with the fact there is still no chief executive at the club and a board of just four.

More in-depth details at this time are very sketchy.

Indeed, but it took him trying to smoke GT out to realize quite how high a regard God is held in. He won't be that stupid again. Onwards and upwards I hope.

Guys, you really think that this spat is going to change things between these 2? GT called lB's bluff and was burnt. I know of one potential person who is looking to invest in the club. The stumbling bock is L B!

We'll see. They may have made up publicly, but I'm sure neither really rates the other personally. As long as they are working together to do the best they can for the club then I am happy.
