Mixed success for Sordell and England

Watford's England U21 international Marvin Sordell had a mixed week with the Three Lions, scoring in victory but tasting defeat against Belgium.

The nippy Hornet's forward scored England's first in the 5-0 drubbing of Iceland's U21's in their 2013 European Championships qualifier at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Liverpool centre-back Martin Kelly got England's second before Craig Dawson and Gary Gardner of Aston Villa (2), finished the rout late on.

However, against their Belgian counterparts tonight (Monday), England slipped to a 2-1 defeat in injury-time.

England led with Sordell going close on several occasions with Martin Kelly getting the England goal. However second-half goals from Jens Naessens and Martin El Kaddouri won the tie for the hosts.

Sordell now has five caps for England's U21 side with two goals to boot.

Congratulations Marvin, lets have a few more for the 'Orns as well!

He gets too much stick at the Vic. For me he's the only player we have who can grab a goal out of nothing... Well done MS...
