'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bassini 're-considering' resignation

In a massive u-turn, owner Laurence Bassini has this morning declared that he is 're-considering his resignation'.

The Stanmore-based businessman released a statement on the Official Site, to confirm his latest intentions:

'I will continue to fund the club.

'I've spoken to both David and Stuart and I have listened carefully to their views on this week and the club in general.

'I really like the club, Watford has really got into my blood, and I'm not going to let anything bad happen.

'So my funding will continue while we look to resolve other matters.'

Bassini has also stated that he will be on BBC 3CR on Tuesday November 22 for a live Q&A session.

Erm, of course you will keep funding the club, I mean if you want to walk away from you initial investment, the penalties incurred for default... Fans seem to think, if he with holds his money, the club goes in to administration, Wrong, messieurs Ashcroft & Simpson revert back to being owners, only a prize dick would come out with his initial comment.
