Bassini apologizes to supporters

Bassini apologizes to supporters

Owner Laurence Bassini has this afternoon apologized for missing the club's inaugural fans' forum last night.

Following rumors it was announced an hour before the forum began that the club's owner would be missing due to 'ill health'.

Bassini has now come out to throw further light on the subject of his non-appearance in a message on the Official Site:

'I was too ill to attend - and am still at home unwell today.

'I can understand that supporters feel frustrated and let down that they were unable to talk with me directly. However this was not a planned absence.

'I had an accident on holiday during October half-term, which led to a further complication upon my return. Then I was taken ill during the Peterborough match.'

Bassini went on to confirm that he was interested in talking to supporters at some point on a forum basis but details are as yet sketchy.

Shows what the man is like... If the guy was there we should have all blanked him anyway...

Although I agree with the sentiment that it would've made a stand, it would've been a waste as I doubt these opportunities will come along very often!
