Thompson returns from Brentford

Young defender Adam Thompson has completed his loan spell at Brentford and returned to Vicarage Road.

The 19 year-old Northern Ireland international spent a month on loan at Griffin Park making 10 appearances and scoring once for the Bees.

However, despite impressing for Uwe Rosler's side the Watford academy graduate has returned to WD18 as former Manchester City full-back Shaelum Logan is now fit to return.

Thompson could be thrown back into the Hornet's squad for Saturday's visit from by Peterborough United but owing to Sean Dyche's reliance on experienced heads Thompson may find himself sidelined again.

Welcome back Adam.

If fliies completely in the face of continuity, the youth have done well for us over the last 2 seasons, yes they tired towards the end of the season, but why are they being overlooked?

Agreed mate. I'd have Whichelow in there immediately. I'd also have Thompson or Hodson as the bench defender at least. Sending Bennett out is another kick in the teeth for youth.
