Weimann re-called by Villa

Sean Dyche has this morning been dealt a blow with striker Andi Weimann being re-called by Aston Villa.

The Austrian U21 international had only returned to Watford in time for the Birmingam City game before the international break.

Twenty year-old Weimann was re-called due to injury problems at Villa Park having made three appearances for the Hornet's during his brief time here.

Alex McLeish had a 28-day re-call option on the young Austrian who had previously scored four in 19 last season at the Vic'.

Speaking on Twitter, Weimann thanked well-wishing Hornet's - andiweimann Thanks for all the messages tweeps, been great at watford and all the support from the fans ! Back to villa now trying to get some games !

If nothing else, Weimann's return to the Midlands offers striker Chris Iwelumo, Troy Deeney and Joe Garner the chance to partner Marvin Sordell on Saturday.

Good luck Andi!

hmmm should free up wages to bring someone else in... we need to find a regular partner for Sordel and, I tell you now, Garner isn't the answer

I thought Garner looked good vs Forest and Barnsley; indeed very unlucky not to score vs. Forest. He seems similar to Weimann - buzzing around and prepared to run with the ball.
