OFFICIAL: GARNER SIGNS ON
Watford, this evening, have completed the signing of out-of-favour forward Joe Garner, 23, from Nottingham Forest.
Garner joins the Hornets on a 2-year deal for an undisclosed fee and becomes Gaffer Sean Dyche's tenth summer signing.
Garner started his career at Blackburn but hit the headlines in 2008 having moved to League 1 Carlisle Utd.
Nottingham Forest signed him for over £1million pounds in the summer of 2008. He scored 8 goals in 30 games in his first season at the City Ground but found first team opportunities scarce after that. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Scunthorpe Utd scoring 6 goals in 14 games.
Watford fans will be hopeful he can solve the Hornets scoring problems and add to the strike force currently made up of Marvin Sordell, Troy Deeney, Chris Iwelumo and Andreas Weimann.
Here's hoping he can be as successful as a previous Carlisle striker to have made his name with the Hornets.
