Watford Set To Land Hogg
Watford are set to sign 22-year-old midfielder Jonathan Hogg from Aston Villa according to skysports.com
They understand Hogg is on the verge of signing a three year deal after Watford saw off competition from other clubs. The deal is expected to be wrapped up in the next few days.
Hogg has been on Villa's books since a teenager and made his first team debut against Manchester Utd in November last year.
A subsequent loan spell at Portsmouth in the second half of last season enhanced his reputation before returning to Villa in the summer.

Let's hope he has a bit of flare... If he has he'll be the only one... That's a big problem with us at the moment.. We don't try anything new... Danny, Will & Don were just that... A team can't lose that much invention & believe they can still win games at Championship level. Fingers crossed...

I ballsed up on this one Watford1881. I thought he was defensive minded. My extensive knowledge has let me down for once and my excellent co. ed. chrisgwfc text me to say that he is more offensive than defensive. So my apologies Jonathan, the signing we needed!

Saw him play well in an attacking role for Villa in a few games last season but according to Pompey fans he likes a tackle so could be good defensively when we don't have the ball. Bit of an allrounder?
