Bassini allocates extra funds

Laurance Bassini has this morning revealed that Sean Dyche will be handed 'significant' extra funding to strengthen the Hornet's squad.

Speaking to the Watford Observer, the owner said:

"I met with Sean and Ross yesterday [Wednesday] and we have added to the budget and there have been additional funds made available for another striker. We have this week increased that budget significantly. Whether we spend all the money made available is another thing."

The need for a striker has been evident with Chris Iwelumo 'not 100% fit' and Gavin Massey the fourth-choice striker at the club, with just seven career sub appearances.

Certainly more positive news from Bassini who has been quick to back Dyche and put his hand in his pocket when required. I for one might not be eating the humble pie on offer yet, but I'm certainly aware that it's cooking!
