OFFICIAL: Prince Signs On

Watford have today confirmed the signing of 23 year old midfielder Prince Buaban.

The former Ajax man joins on a free transfer after his contract with Dundee Utd ran out at the end of last month.

Dubbed 'The Prince' by Dundee Utd supporters he spent four years in Scotland after a successful trial period in 2007. He played 142 times and helped win the Scottish Cup back in 2010.

The all-action midfielder is the second signing in two days for Hornets boss Sean Dyche, following yesterday's arrival of winger Mark Yeates, as he rebuilds his squad having lost three key players from last season this summer.

Thought we had plenty of cover in midfield, really could do with a left back..

bassini said in his interview he wanted two midfielders, two strikers and left back we have completed the midfield section. In effect Yeates and Buaban have bulstered out midfield options and gives up some strength in depth which we lacked last season. We have brought in Forsyth, Buaban and Yeates but we have lost Cowie and Buckley and McGinn through injury for the first 5 months of this season it seems. So sensible purchasing IMO.

Agree. V.Happy, first heard of the boy in FourFourTwo mag as one to watch. Hopefully he will kick on here.
