OFFICIAL: No bids for Sordell

OFFICIAL: No bids for Sordell

Watford have this morning confirmed that they have not received any bids for striker Marvin Sordell.

Speculation grew overnight that Ipswich Town were set to launch an 800k bid for the Hornet's teen forward but the club's official Twitter account wfcbadgemoose denied the rumours:

@wfcbadgemoose: Morning #watfordfc fans. Don't normally comment on transfer rumours, as you know, but just to say no bids of any kind received for Marvin.

Sordell made a huge impression in his breakthrough campaign scoring 13 league goals from 26 league starts with a further four cup goals in as many outings.

With the club already having raked in circa £5m in transfer fees, compensation and sell-on clauses this summer, hopefully Laurence Bassini and the board will be in a better position to reject any future advances for Sordell.

Well we all know that every player has their price but hopefully the club will be hostile to any approaches that do not suit us 100%
