Defender Doyley signs new deal

Watford right-back Lloyd Doyley has signed a one-year extension on his Watford contract that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2008.

Doyley, who finished runner-up to Marlon King in last season`s Player of the Season Award, has made over 100 yellow-shirted appearances since his debut for the Golden Boys back in 2001.

"Its good to know that I've got another three years as a Watford player and hopefully they'll all be in the Premiership," Doyley told the club`s official site.

"I'm glad it's all sorted in good time because we all want to concentrate on the League now."

The 23-year-old added: "Last year was a great year, everyone did well and the lads deserve their rewards."

The former Academy player becomes the fifth Hornet in a space of a week to agree a new contact, following in the footsteps of Gavin Mahon, Jay DeMerit, Al Bangura and Alec Chamberlain.
