OFFICIAL: Forsyth signs for Watford

Watford have this afternoon swooped to capture free agent Craig Forsyth from Scottish outfit Dundee.

The Hornets agreed a compensation package for the winger-cum-full-back yesterday and Forsyth completed his medical today.

Used predominantly as a left-winger, the 22 year-old can also play at full-back and has penned a three-year deal at Vicarage Road.

In his five years with the Dee's Forsyth made 78 appearances scoring 15 goals.

An official statement on the Official Site reveals that Malky Mackay began the deal before new Head of Football Business Ross Wilson rubber-stamped the deal ahead of Sean Dyche's appointment as boss.

Welcome to Watford Craig and good luck!

He is talked about highly, hope with a good pre-season he will adapt and start the season well. still way short on players though!

Indeed, I've spoken to a Dundee fan who rates him. If he adapts as quickly as Don Cowie, excellent. Even if he doesn't, he has at least arrived ahead of pre-season. We still need a striker, a left-back and a central midfielder to cover McGinn.
