Mackay has not resigned

Contrary to multiple reports that Malky Mackay has resigned from his position as Watford manager, The Watford Observer have confirmed he remains in charge.

Reports in Wales suggested the Scot had resigned in order to begin talks with the Cardiff City hierarchy but the W.O has moved quicker than the club to refute these claims.

Cardiff are believed to still be confident of securing their No.1 target to replace Dave Jones.

Stay tuned to Vital Watford in order to keep up-to-date with the Malky saga.

No. No. Westley or Curbishly off that list. No way we'd get Hughes. Think it is still most likely to be an unknown.

Aidy Boothroyd. Had his best spell with us when we had nothing. Would guarantee us safetry at least next season IMO after this summers turmoil. As he said in a legends interview "One day it would be nice to go back and relive all that stuff again". Well, I think we could do worse. If he has learned from the mistakes of his previous tenure and that includes playing decent football i would take him. He was one of the people behind the Harefield Acadamy and would continue our youth policy plus with Malky gone he would be the one person who could convince Eustace to stay considering he bought him to the club 2 and a half years ago.
