Odds on Mackay joining Hammers lengthen

Watford boss Malky Mackay is no longer second-favourite to take the vacant manager's post at West Ham having seen his odd's lengthened to 9/1 this evening.

The Scot's odds were shortened dramatically to 5's earlier today having only been added to the list this afternoon by SkyBet.

Mackay of course spent a season at Upton Park skippering the East Londoners to the Premier League before being released to become a Hornet in 2005.

However, former Newcastle boss Chris Hughton remains favourite having been giving the axe by Mike Ashley earlier this season.

According to SkyBet, the runners for the Irons job are as follows:

Chris Hughton 6/4

Sam Allardyce 5/1

Alex McLeish 8/1

Malky Mackay 9/1

Neil Warnock 9/1

Peter Reid 10/1

Martin O'Neill 12/1
