Ipswich weighing up Graham offer

Hornet's Player of the Season Danny Graham is a £2m target for Paul Jewell's Ipswich Town after the Tractor Boys saw a £2.3m bid for Doncaster forward Billy Sharp turned down.

According to TWTD.CO.UK Jewell will make an offer for the 'Orns 27-goal forward after missing out on Donny forward Sharp.

Jewell is evidently keen to add a striker to his squad having had an impressive impact on the Suffolk club in his short spell in charge.

However, Graham himself has said he is not interested in leaving WD18 unless a Premier League club make an offer for him.

Graham's top-flight ambition may have come a step closer last night as Swansea and known-admirer Brendan Rodgers reached the Championship Play-off final.

In the mean time, a move to Portman Road seems highly unlikely.

Seconded on "highly unlikely". I'd love to see him come to Ipswich but there isn't a chance in hell in my opinion - I don't think we could ever offer enough to make Malky consider a sale and even if we could, I can't see why Danny would be interested in moving to Portman Road, especially if Premier League clubs are interested.

Considering he stated in January he would only want to move to a Premiership club because he loves it at Watford i would think Ipswich is 'highly unlikely' as already stated. And i don't think the board or Malky would be interested in selling to anyone for as little as £2mil. When you consider what Shane Long, Jay Bothroyd are worth Danny is in that bracket IMO (£3.5mil - £5mil)

Can't disagree with any of the points you have raised gents. He will go for more than that and to a PL club.

He will go for more as strikers are a premium, but how much more? It's not the goals he has scored or the effort he puts in, it's the ones that he missed, those will dictate his value. If Newcastle enter the bidding, then that puts the value up as they have money to burn. 3 to 3.5 plus add on's and I think that will be good, but only if MM gets some money to replace him
