What does the future hold for - Andi Weimann?

With the season winding down, it`s the time of year players, managers and chief executives sit down and decide on the futures of the playing staff. With that in mind, and coupled with the Hornet`s tight financial belt ,VitalWatford will be taking a look at those who are out of contract, on loan or out of favour at the Vic` ahead of the Summer.

Today it`s the turn of Andi Weimann...

It`s been a decent loan spell for Andi Weimann at the Vic`. Whilst hardly setting the world alight he has had some impressive moments in a yellow shirt. A few goals have shown potential and he is certainly highly-rated by Aston Villa fans.

Three goals in nine starts suggests potential and Weimann could well be seen at the Vic` next season on a longer-term deal, especially if Danny Graham departs. It certainly seems odd to bring a striker in with a couple of months to go when you`ve got three otherwise.

What I like about Andi is his attitude, he`s clearly happy working hard and chases down blind alleys for fun it seems. He has electric pace once he gets going, which is rare amongst this squad. With regular football he could turn into a decent loan signing and I`d sooner have him back on loan then trying to bed someone entirely new in next season.

He does work hard, but if we are going to be signing more loan players, which seems likely, could we not get them on season long loans? Losing Taylor & Mutch in Jan, cost us dearly.

Yeah I agree. It's no coincidence our season fell apart after they left.
