Eustace targeted by Derby?

Eustace targeted by Derby?

Hornet's skipper John Eustace is being lined up by Derby County boss Nigel Clough as the replacement for the recently retired Robbie Savage, according to The Sun.

The 31 year-old midfield lynch-pin has been in superb form this season racking up 41 appearances from a maximum 46 in the league, holding together the Hornet's midfield and protecting the back four.

With two year left on his contract at Vicarage Road Eustace is apparently subject of a £200,000 bid from the Rams who saw their skipper retire last weekend as the season drew to a close.

Is £200,000 enough for someone of Eustace's ability? I don't think so, it certainly wouldn't adequately compensate for his loss and losing him would be akin to losing Danny Graham; he is the heartbeat of the midfield afterall.
