Takeover nears completion
The Watford Observer yesterday reported that Laurence Bassini's Watford FC Limited had now acquired enough shares to make a compulsory offer for the rest.
Watford FC Limited have now purchased 90.95% of Watford Leisure PLC, meaning compulsory offers for the remaining shares can be made.
Bassini has made clear from the outset that his intentions are to purchase the whole company and de-list it from the Stock Exchange. With the remaining shares purchased, complete control would be in the hands of Watford FC Limited.
