Mingoia extends contract

Mingoia extends contract

Attacking midfielder Piero Mingoia has this morning signed a new contract at Watford until the summer of 2013.

The 19 year-old winger-cum-midfielder only signed his first pro' deal last summer but has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season making two substitute league appearances and two F.A Cup starts.

The Academy graduate made his first professional appearance back in January in the F.A Cup, where he grabbed a stunning equaliser against Hartlepool.

ingoia told the Official Site he was pleased to sign:

'I've been in and around the matchday squad a lot this season, without playing too often,' he explained.

'But where I feel I've really come on is by training with the senior professionals every day.

'The manager spoke to me after Hartlepool and said this year was all about me developing as a player.

'I feel like I have progressed - and I'm very happy to have signed for longer with Watford.'

Congratulations Piero!
