Isaac handed pro' contract

Isaac handed pro' contract

Watford this morning announced that midfielder Chez Isaac would be the only member of their second-year group of scholars to be handed a professional contract.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, Gavin Massey and Adam Thompson have all already been handed pro' deals in the last 12 months too.

The remaining scholars - Faisal Hemati, Oli Archer, Greg Deer, Jamie Irving, Jake Rosier and Adam Fenwick will be released at the end of the season.

Speaking to the Official Site, Malky Mackay said 'It's not an easy time because it affects youngsters' futures, but we've given some contracts to some second years who will become pros and unfortunately some of the boys will leave us soon.'

The gaffer did have some words of comfort for those told their futures lay elsewhere however, 'I think it's important we place these boys wherever they want to be placed - some may go into further education or coaching, while others will want to find another club and we'll do our utmost to help them.'

We at VitalWatford would like to wish Faisal, Oli, Greg, Jamie, Jake and Adam the very best of luck in their future careers.
