Watford chasing Villa's Young?!

Watford chasing Villa's Young?!

According to the Evening Standard Watford are hoping to solve their full-back problems with the loan signing of Aston Villa's Luke Young.

The former England cap is apparently looking to move back nearer his Wimbledon home and a move to either the Goldenboys or Crystal Palace is on the cards for the former Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Charlton man.

Now, surely Young won't be on the same sort of money as the likes of Darren Bent at Villa Park but by the same token, he won't be earning a pittance.

Unless the Villains are prepared to stump up his whole contract and lend him out, we at VitalWatford Towers can't see this happening.

Not sure Villa can let him go unless short term with 24 hour recall. We have Kyle Walker in the team. Carlos Cuellar is out for a month injured, Eric Lichaj is on loan at Leeds and Habib Beye is totally out of favour. Houllier won't leave us with just one right back. Luke can also play left back and with warnock also out of favour we are playing young left footed centre halves, Clark and Baker in hat role and on saturday Fabian Delph had to fit in there. Surprised if this happened lads, but he is a very goos player.

Same to be honest. We'd probably want him to play left back as we have a right-footed right back there! Really cannot see it happening, especially after what you've said!

Not a hope of him leaving even on a loan deal, he is very much needed! We have Walker and an emergency right back in a CB, Cuellar (who is out injured at the moment), at left back we only have 2 emergency left backs in 2 CB's Clark and Baker, not forgetting CM Delph as 3rd choice lol. Beye and Warnock played for the first time in months last night and lets Wolves Res score 3 goals so they won't be coming in any time soon, therefor Young is needed, and on his day our best full back! He might actually start for Villa tomorrow according to GH. But he will definately feature in our next 2 games.

Also it's reported that Luke Young is on £50k a week, I doubt you could afford to pay that anyway. Feel free to sign Beye or Warnock though!

I don't think we could afford any of them! A story with little foundation!
