International Hornets round-up #1

International Hornets round-up #1

Goalkeeper Scott Loach and striker Marvin Sordell have tasted varying success at international level in the past couple of days.

Stoppr Scott Loach only made the bench for Stuart Pearce's England U21 side in Empoli as they faced their Italian counterparts. Blackburn's Frank Fielding was preferred between the sticks to the former Lincoln City 'keeper.

Former Hornets Henri Lansbury and Jack Cork were involved however.

In the event the U21 side went down 1-0 to the Azzurri thanks to an 88th minute penalty from Manchester United striker Federico Macheda.

Meanwhile, former Fulham youngster Marvin Sordell has revealed via Twitter that he is set to start for the England U20's for the first time tonight against France:

@Sord_20:'Starting tonight against France #Buzzin'

Elsewhere Lee Hodson and Adam Thompson will be hoping to be involved against Scotland in the Carling Cup of Nations in Dublin tonight.

Good luck lads!
