Trust us to leave it to the last minute! According to talkSPORT the Hornets have launched a late bid for left-back Andrew Taylor.
The Middlesbrough defender of course impressed hugely whilst on-loan at Vicarage Road earlier in the season and Malky Mackay had previously made a bid of around £100k for the former England youth cap.
talkSPORT reckon that although Watford have tried to raid the Teesiders on transfer deadline day Tony Mowbray will respond by offering the out of contract Taylor a new deal to keep him at the Riverside.
BBC 3Counties radio presenter Jon Marks said the following on Twitter:
'@TBBodell Can only go on what Malky said on Sat - there is a bid on the table & ball is in Boro's court.'
