McGinn happy with 'Clinical' Watford

Watford midfielder Stephen McGinn has told Watfordfc.com he was delighted to walk back into a winning and clinical team on Saturday and was thrilled by the comprehensive victory.

McGinn who started his first game back since finding himself on the wrong end of a Rob Hulse elbow at QPR on 10th of December was also happy to be back. 'It was good to get 90 minutes under my belt. Fortunatly I could train with my injury so I was able to keep my fitness up'.

McGinn singled out two areas of the pitch where the Hornets have been doing particularly well in recent weeks. 'The front boys have been different class for us, they're just so dangerous at the moment.

'As a team we've tightened up defensively also and Martin Taylor was unbelievable, it's such a good feeling to get a clean sheet as well'.

McGinn also commented on how pleasing it was to get the job done on such a difficult surface. 'With the pitch we just had to play the conditions. We were really clinical today and that allowed the second half to be more stop start but we were disciplined and didn't give anything away'.

He has really improved as a player,

so far mackay has made very few disappointing signings. Travner maybe the only bad one. Cleverley, Lansbury, Buckley, McGinn, Martin Taylor, Andrew Taylor and Mutch have all been amazing additions to the club even though some were on loan.

Don't forget Helguson, Graham and re-signing Eustace!

Villain in peace here, just heard Weiman will be on loan from us for the rest of the season. he's young but has a really good intelligent head on him, will give you lots of power and has very instinctive first touch on him. I reckon he has at least half a dozen goals in him for you?? hope he does well for you guys UTV

McGinn massively improved - wasn't convinced when he first signed but has really stepped his game up. Re-Weimann, a surprising signing as Deeney cannot get in the side.
