Malky 'Happy With Situation'
In the build up to this weekends Championship encounter with Derby County, Hornets boss Malky Mackay has discussed all things Watford in an interview with BBC Sport.
Despite recent conjecture that Mackay maybe in line for the managerial post at Burnley, Chief Executive Julian Winter stated Watford would reject any such approaches. Mackay told three counties 'As far as that is concerned that's good enough for me'. The focus I've got is making sure the team is ready for Saturday'.
Mackay also stated that the goals for this season remain simple ones. 'The target is still 52 points and that is what everyone is working towards'.
The Scot also spoke about the clubs attempts to strengthen the squad throughout January saying 'We're trying to do our business and co-operate with other clubs. We'll try and push on between now and the end of the window. We've got targets lined up and and second and third targets'.
This will be music to all hornets fans ears regarding Malky's future with club and also the worry over recent loan signings returning to former clubs.
