Derby County Preview - Home, Jan 15th

HAVING JUST been dumped unceremoniously out the F.A Cup by non-league Crawley Town, Derby County are a wounded animal and will be looking to get back to winning ways at the Vic' this Saturday.

Nigel Clough's non-league army have faltered slightly of late after an impressive start to the campaign, not least in their 5-2 bashing at the City Ground, home of fierce rivals Nottingham Forest.

As yet it's been a quiet January for the Rams who haven't made any additions to their squad, though the loss of loan forward Luke Moore was a disappointment as the former Villa trainee elected to join Swansea City permanently.

Watford are protecting a six match unbeaten run as they head into this one and will be looking to exact revenge on Clough's side after suffering a 4-1 trashing at Pride Park earlier in the season.

Watford Team News: Stephen McGinn and Danny Graham both featured against Hartlepool in the cup following injury so the duo could be in line to start.

Graham will almost certainly replace Troy Deeney up front whilst McGinn will look to oust one of the two impressive youngsters in Whichelow or Mingoia in midfield.

Skipper John Eustace is still sidelined with a calf problem. Don Cowie is also doubtful as he is still recovering from an illness suffered last week.

Dale Bennett's involvement is dependent on whether or not Lee Hodson returns from illness in time.

Likely Line-up: Loach; Mariappa (c), Bennett, M.Taylor, Doyley; Jenkins; Buckley, McGinn, Walker; Sordell and Graham.

Form Player: Marvin Sordell - The young forward added two more to his impressive debut season tally of nine last weekend and will be looking for more of the same against the Rams. Powerful, pacey and fearless the home-grown academy graduate is yet another to make a seamless transition from scholar to pro' at the Vic'.

Home Form: Watford 4-1 Cardiff City; Watford 3-0 Portsmouth and Watford 4-1 Hartlepool United (FA Cup).

Head2Head Form: Watford 0-1 Derby County; Derby County 2-0 Watford and Derby County 4-1 Watford.

Derby County Team News: The Rams WILL be able to call upon Miles Addison and Steven Davies once more following their returns from injury.

Left-back Gareth Roberts should be included following a calf injury.

Experienced centre-back Russell Anderson is out with hamstring problem.

Line-up Vs. Crawley Town: Bywater; Brayford, Addison, Barker, Roberts; Green, Savage (c), Bailey, Pringle; Commons; Porter.

Away Form: Nottingham Forest 5-2 Derby County, Preston North End 1-2 Derby County and Crawley Town 2-1 Derby County (FA Cup)

This one will be hard. Derby have good form vs. Us. I'll be happy with a draw. A win would be great.

Yeah I would take a draw, suffice to say they wil be smarting after the defeat by Crawley.
