Ellington Exits?

Calling any Hornet's fans who didn't get what they wanted for Christmas - the big man has delivered some good news, Nathan Ellington has signed for Phil Brown's Preston North End on loan for six months!

According to SkySports News anyway...

'The Duke' has been training with the Lancashire outfit in an attempt to win a move to Deepdale and after two goals for the stiffs against Shrewsbury earlier in the week the 29 year-old striker is to join North End for six months.

Ellington only recently returned from a year-long stint in Greece with Skoda Xanthi and having reported back ill and unable to train linked up with the new PNE gaffer Brown on trial.

Owing to the fact another appearance for the former Bristol Rovers hitman would trigger a 1m payment to former club West Brom, Ellington was out of contention at the Vic' until the end of his contract this Summer.

Good luck Nathan!
