Ellington training with Preston

Outcast striker Nathan Ellington is currently training with Preston North End in order to increase his chances of leaving Vicarage Road.

Ellington recently returned from a loan spell in Greece with Skoda Xanthi and has been told he can leave the club on loan for the last six months of his contract or join another side on a free.

The forward, signed from West Bromwich Albion would only need to appear once more for the Hornet's to trigger a Ł1m payment to the Baggies.

Ellington also spent time effectively on trial the Summer before last, with Blackburn Rovers.

However a week-long stay with the Premier League outfit came to nothing and 'The Duke' returned to score his final Hornet's goal at Ipswich before leaving at the end of 2010 to move to Greece for 12 months.

He is skilled at ineptitude to quote the Football Ramble.

Well thats lucky then; this means that he didn't cost us all of the Ł3.2m original price? Makes me feel a tiny bit better; but no wonder he won't be playing for the 'Orns again - and we're all very grateful for that. Sorry Nathan, but you simply haven't cut it anywhere since you left Wigan. Hey - try Ipswich - the new bloke there likes you I think!

I guess watfordfc have had to pay most of his wages whilst in greece, a real bad buy and makes Jamie morally &trevor senior look like bargain buys

Yeah to my understanding oldyella. Thankfully. I think we've been paying at least half during his loan forays.
