Hornets to sign ex-England defender
Watford are set to make their first summer signing tomorrow (Saturday), who is, according to reports, believed to be a former England international defender.
A club spokesman described the player as having "wide experience of playing at the top level" and someone who was "with a Premier League club last season."
Watford chief executive Mark Ashton told the Watford Observer: "There will be an announcement over the weekend on one player coming in. We are absolutely delighted with the signing and pleased to be able to get the first one in the bag."
The defender is believed to have agreed terms at Vicarage Road and will sign on the dotted line when his contract expires with his current club tomorrow.
