Am I watching Jamie Moralee again?

Am I watching Jamie Moralee again?

I am so much a positive person that this article goes against the grain - BUT... I can't help but be reminded of the disastrous signings of Jamie Moralee, Trevor Senior and a few others, when I watch the Troy Boy.

Is that really half a mill well spent?

I have great admiration for Malky and couldn't think who else I would prefer in charge of our team (other than GT of course) but what is going on - he stated last week that he needed to give Troy Deeney 90 mins - well he had this versus Forest and again vs Palace last night - and I am sorry, but I can't see why this guy is in the team ahead of Marvellous Marvin at all.

On Saturday, Marvin Sordell came on in the 90th minute and almost created a chance for Danny - and I didn't see Troy do that in the previous 90 minutes.

OK he had a hand in the 4th minute goal by a neat interchange out by the touchline, but after that....????

I heard Malky Mackay on 3Counties radio afterwards saying how well he played!
Was I at a different game?
Did I drop off for 85 mins?

Am I the only person who has this view?

Totally disagree with you here. You cant of been watching the forest game closely if thats your view. Deeney worked well with Graham and worked his socks off! He created several oppurtunities within the match. Don't know if you were at Palace, but I was and he had another solid performance. I do like Sordell and he probably is better than Deeney, but we have to rest him every now and then as he is only a youngster.

I personally must say that I have not seen a massive amount of Deeney but I have been less impressed with him than Sordell, but that is only on the basis Sordell has been getting a regular run in the side. I feel that Deeney has shown enough in his cameo's that he will cope well at this level; he will just benefit from playing regularly. Also worth pointing out in case you hadn't noted that this is a guest post and not my personal opinion!

The problem I have with Deeney is that he has the potential to be a real sulk and his work rate is nowhere near what it should be. I think Sordell has the pace that scarfes defenders silly and since he has been benched we haven't looked as dangerous going forward. I also think the Buckley saga is hurting us as well now.

I wrote that original article back in November; fair enough, some of you didn't agree; but what do you think NOW - well into January? Personally I STILL don't think much of our TroyBoy. Yes he has scored a few goals (3 actually), but he doesn't link play well; he doesn't seem to get in the right positions; and haven't we looked real threatening when Danny and Marvin are together again. We don't look that when Troy's in the team. It seems to me as if he's out of his depth. I'm still dreaming of Jamie Moralee back in a WFC shirt - what a nightmare! Well I suppose the Duke actually IS worse???
