Deeney denies Fulham stiffs

Former Walsall striker Troy Deeney grabbed a Watford Reserves XI an 89th minute leveller against a Fulham Reserve side in a training ground match.

An experienced Fulham side which included names such as David Elm and Eddie Johnson as well as former Palace and Everton striker Andy Johnson, whose benefit the game was arranged for.

It was Johnson who got Fulham's goal after a flick from former Liverpool younger Lauri Dalle Valle.

There is no available record of the Watford starting eleven but attacking midfielder Matty Whichelow featured according to the Watford Observer.

Fulham Starting XI: Etheridge; Stoor, Pierre, Toure, Briggs; Dikgacoi, Milsom, Dalla Valle, Elm; A Johnson, E Johnson.
