McGinn's Scotland Lose in Play-off First Leg

Young midfielder Stephen McGinn kicked off the Hornet's international commitments last night as his Scotland U21 side went down 2-1 to Iceland in the European Championship Play-offs.

It started well for the Scot's who took the lead on 19 minutes before a goal with twelve minutes to go consigned McGinn and co. to a narrow defeat.

However with the second leg back in Scotland on Monday, a 1-0 win will see the Scottish U21's through for the first time in 14 years.

Scott Loach looks set to resume his place between the sticks for England's U21's tonight against Romania at Carrow Road, scene of Watford's cracking opening day victory. The second leg of the Three Lions play-off is on Tuesday in Romania.

Don Cowie will hope to be involved from the bench for Scotland's full team after not being picked in the starting eleven to face the Czech Republic before taking on Spain at Hampden Park on Tuesday.

Seventeen year-old 'keeper Jonathan Bond will hope to be involved with Brian Flynn's Wales in their Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria for the first time.

Finally scholar Adam Thompson is in Northern Ireland's U19 squad who take on Switzerland tonight and Germany on Monday.

Good luck to all our internationals!
