Sheffield United Preview - Away, Oct 2nd

Watford will look to bounce back from a disappointing defeat by Brendan Rodgers' Swansea City on Tuesday by continuing their purple patch on the road.

Having convincinly and impressively won their last two away from the Vic' (2-0 at Bristol City and 6-1 at Millwall), the Hornet's look to have turned a corner on the road.

Sheffield United are settling into life under Gary Speed who has wasted no time adding to the paper thin squad left to him following Kevin Blackwell's sacking. French full back Jean Calve signed on a season long loan whilst Richard Wright penned a four-month contract at goalkeeping cover.

The Blades also signed versatile defender, Ritchie De Laet on loan from Manchester United. A third loan signing was made this week in the shape of Argentinian Elian Parrino, a left-sided player from Estudiantes de la Plata.

Sheffield United Team News:
Skipper Chris Morgan missed his sides draw at Nottingham Forest through injury and may force his way back into contention whilst Kyle Bartley on loan from Arsenal has fractured a cheekbone meaning Johannes Ertl may move back into defence with Jean Calve in down the right of midfield.

Likely Line-up:
Simonsen
De Laet Ertl Nosworthy Jordan
Calve Britton Montgomery(c) Yeates
Cresswell Evans

Key Player: Nick Montgomery
Intelligent ball-playing midfielder with a good range of passing who keeps things ticking over in the middle. Having made his Blades debut in 2000, the Scotland U21 cap has ammassed over 300 career appearances for the Yorkshire outfit, scoring eight.

Home Form:
SHEFFIELD UNITED 1-0 PNE
SHEFFIELD UNITED 0-4 Scunthorpe United
SHEFFIELD UNITED 1-0 Portsmouth

Watford Team News:
The Hornet's have no injury news to contend with as they travel to Bramall Lane meaning Malky Mackay should be able to name the same eleven that lost to Swansea, however Troy Deeney is pushing for a start after
his first league goal off the bench.

Likely Line-up:
Loach
Doyley Mariappa M.Taylor A.Taylor
Eustace (c)
Cowie Buckley
Mutch
Sordell Graham

Key Player: Danny Graham
The former Carlisle man has eight already this season, just six shy of last season's entire tally after an explosive start. His partnership with 'Marvellous' Marvin Sordell has bought goals a-plenty and the Hornet's will look for more from the frontman who signed a new contract this week.

Away Form:
Hull City 0-0 WATFORD
Bristol City 0-2 WATFORD
Millwall 1-6 WATFORD
