Sordell Pens New Deal

Following his instant impact on the first-team this season, 19 year-old forward Marvin Sordell has penned an extended contract in WD18.

The nippy striker, whose five goals have put him in contention for the 'Fans PFA Championship Player of the Month' has signed a new contract that will see him remain a Goldenboy until June 2013.

Sordell only made his league debut last season at Sheffield United as a substitute, having previously scored on his full Hornet's debut in a 2-1 defeat by Leeds United.

A loan spell at Tranmere saw Sordell grab a solitary goal in seven games however it matured the pacey forward who returned to the club in time to play against Coventry City on the final day of the season. To cap off an impressive breakthrough campaign Sordell bagged one and was only denied another from the half-way line by a matter of inches.

It was only against Doncaster Rovers, a mere sixteen days ago that 5'10' striker announced himself to the N.Power Championship with two goals from the bench to turn the game on it's head.

Congratulations Marvin and keep it going!
