Watford's bid for Robbo rejected

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly rejected a bid from Watford for Hornets legend Paul Robinson.

Watford`s £1 million bid for the left back immediately rejected by the Baggies, who are under no financial pressure to sell Robinson. However, Watford supremo Aidy Boothroyd is keen to bring Robbo back to his spiritual home.

Robinson, who made over 250 appearances in his seven years at Vicarage Road, became a fans favourite with his no-nonsense style of play and his never-say-die attitude but was inexplicably sold to West Brom for measly £250,000 in October 2003.

Born and bred in Watford, Robinson made his Watford debut against local rivals Luton Town in 1996 and was a key member of Graham Taylor`s side that won the Division Two title in 1998 and the Division One play-off final in 1999. Robinson also went on to represent his country at under-21 level.

The 27 year-old still has two years left on his contract at the Hawthorns but will hopefully find a move back to Watford to tempting to turn down.

Don't lose sight of the fact he proved himself in the Premiership at WEST BROMWICH ALBION, so buyers aren't taking a risk any more. Therefore offer a sensible bid for his services if you really want him and are not just trying to unsettle him.
cyggy
was there any reason he was sold?
